Have you ever had to buy a round of drinks for your friends, but forgotten what to order by the time you were served at the bar? Or better yet, have you remembered the order, but the barman gives you the wrong drinks because he didnt hear you properly? Well dont worry... "My Buy" is here to help you solve this problem.

The engineers at Roaming Programmer have been known to have a drink or two at the local pub, and have spent alot of time analysing this problem. Much of the data for this analysis was obtained through practical experimentation in the field.

We believe that those many hours of experimentation were worth the effort. Our engineers have used their vast experience in developing software systems for Air Traffic Control, Defence and Financial applications to help solve this vexing problem.

The result of their efforts is the "My Buy" application.

In designing this application, our engineers have determined the core activities that must be performed each time someone orders a round of drinks. They have also identified supplementary activities that are only performed occasionally.

Analysing the drink ordering process in this way has enabled our engineers to design a user interface that is both simple to use, and very efficient. This means that you can spend more time enjoying your drinks, and less time ordering them.

The core activities are:
1. Incrementally specifying the desired quantity of a particular drink.
2. Annotating your drink order with special comments.
3. Displaying the complete order to the barman.

The supplementary activities include
1. Adding drinks to your preferred drinks list.
2. Personalising the drink images in your preferred drinks list.
3. Removing drinks from your preferred drinks list.

The "My Buy"application has been optimised to perform the core activities in an extremely efficient manner.

When the application starts up, you are immediately taken to the home page which displays your preferred drinks list. Each drink appears on a separate row, and displays a personalisable image. The plus (+) and minus (-) buttons on each drink row are used to increase or decrease the desired quantity of that drink. The alphabetical index on the right hand side of the home page makes it easy to navigate between your preferred drinks.

Pressing the "Order Now" button in the top right hand corner of the home page navigates you to the final order summary page. The itemised order that appears on this page can be shown to the barman to ensure accuracy.

If your order has some unusual requests... such as one of your mates ordering a half-pint, you can add the appropriate comments on the notes page. These notes will appear in the final order summary.

The "My Buy"application also provides you with the ability to customise your preferred drinks list. The preferred drinks list is remembered between application sessions. You can add drinks to your preferred list from an extensive library of existing drinks. Alternatively, you can also add your own drinks to the preferred list.

The image associated with each drink in the preferred drinks list is personalisable. Simply double tap the existing drink image to either add an image from the gallery, or to take a new photo.
